One of the most anticipated and fun seasons of the year is undoubtedly summer. It is the perfect time to go to the beach, enjoy the sun, the pool and the sea. However, it is also one of the periods in which your hair suffers more damage: Sea salt raises the cuticle leaving it opaque and as a consequence it loses softness; the chlorine in the pool and the sun's rays also cause havoc on your hair; for these reasons it is important that you protect it in order to always look radiant. Here we tell you how:
1. Minimize products
If you wash your hair often it is important not to use many products, the fewer the better to avoid greased hair. Do not use antifrizz products, instead replaced them with a shampoo that has those properties to help keep it smooth and silky. If you use conditioner, make sure you use it only from half to ends not from de root.
2. Do not brush it
Avoid the brush as much as you can. For many women might be impossible not to brush it because of your hair type, but if the texture of yours allows it, let it dry naturally and comb it with your fingers.
3. Coconut oil
This product is miraculous and you can find it in the supermarket. Apply a tablespoon of coconut oil on the ends of your hair once a week to prevent them from opening. It will leave them soft and smelling delicious!
4. Less towel
Do not rub your hair with the towel to dry it, it is better to wrap it, press lightly to remove the excess of water and let it dry naturally. When we rub it we provoke frizz and this leads us to use additional products to eliminate it.
5. Less heat
As much as possible avoid using the dryer or iron to comb your hair. It can be a good time to try a natural style or learn how to make a braid or wear an elegant ponytail.
6. Summer products
Finally, if you live in a place with warm weather, some shampoos offer protection against UV rays. It is never too much!
