Christmas, in addition to being a family party, to receive gifts and go on vacation, is a date where we enjoy the delicious dishes of the season and as we are only days away for this great celebration, we want to share with you Maja 2 great recipes that usually seem difficult but with time and organization they will go perfectly ...

Let's start:

1) Christmas-style turkey: This is one of the most representative Christmas dishes! Let's start first with the ingredients. What will you need? 1 turkey, can weigh 5, 6 or 7 kilos, 3 cups of white wine, margarine and salt and pepper to your liking.

Step 1: defrost the turkey 1 or 2 days before its preparation, wash it thoroughly and dry it perfectly. Once you have it ready, preheat your oven to 250º and start filling it with the ingredients of your choice (mostly ground beef, sausage, bacon, olives, raisins, etc.) are used. After this step, you should spread the turkey with the margarine so that it does not stick and is easy to handle while it is cooking.

Then, put it on a tray and bathe it everywhere with white wine and then put it directly in the oven. We recommend you bake it for an hour with the temperature mentioned above, that is: 250º, then adapt it to 180º and let it cook for about three hours to get a perfect cooking and achieve a smooth texture.

MAJA Recommendation: accompany this exquisite dish with the salad or side dish of your choice, it can be apple or beet.

2) Romeritos: have you entered the Christmas mood yet? Very good! Let's continue, what will you need to prepare some delicious romeritos? 1kg of rosemary, 5 large potatoes, 3 nopales, 1 liter of chicken broth, half a kilo of mole in powder or pasta and shrimp.

Step 1: wash the romeritos, remove the thick branches and let them drain completely, then put them to cook in a little water and reserve them.

Step 2: diced the potatoes and nopales and bring them to a boil until they are well cooked.

Add the chicken broth in a casserole, mix and mix until it has a thick consistency and let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, add the romeritos, nopales, potatoes and shrimp (fresh and dried), and let it stand for at least 2 hours. You can accompany this dish with tortillas or bread ... Enjoy!
